The World Band Festival in Lucerne, held from 21 to 29 September 2024, is Europe's largest wind music festival, attracting over 22,000 visitors. It features elite wind orchestras, ensembles, conductors, and soloists. The festival begins with the Besson Swiss Open Contest and an open-air concert at Europaplatz. The week-long event includes concerts spanning brass, dixie, swing, jazz, and folk music.

The Lucerne Blues Festival, held from November 9 to 17, 2024, features world-class blues musicians performing at venues like Grand Casino Lucerne and Hotel Schweizerhof. Ice skating with a view over Lake Lucerne is possible between 13th November 2024 – 2nd January 2025, surrounded by a unique mountain panorama in the heart of Lucerne. The next festival is from January 9 to 19, 2025.

From February 27 to March 4, Lucerne's Old Town morphs into a vibrant festival paradise filled with music and dance during Carnival. The celebrations ignite with the explosive Urknall on Schmutzig Thursday morning and gently conclude by Ash Wednesday in anticipation of Palm Sunday.
